Now is a good time to consider from a biblical perspective, what is going on in the world. There is lots happening, but we will do well if we seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness. "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Ps 91:1
With the arrival of AI our society is now changing at an even faster pace than we have ever seen. Many Christians, myself included are seriously wondering if this lifelike AI image might be the beast of end times Bible prophecy - the ultimate Babylon the Great. If so, what should our attitude be towards it?
A biblical parallel could be like when the ancient Israelites lived in Babylon. At that time God told his people to "seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare." (Jeremiah 29:7). It was still possible for the Israelites to live good lives in Babylon without compromising on their obedience to God. But they were tested as we see from Daniel's story, and the book of Esther. We learn what whole hearted obedience to God can require. The book of Revelation makes clear that there will be many martyrs in the last days.
In comparison to many Christians who take an interest in end times Bible prophecy, I have a relatively long view. I suggest we may only be around the time of the birth of the final generation with several more decades of fruitful ministry opportunity still ahead. We have some amazing biblical signs of birth which I have put a lot of effort into studying and sharing. Regarding these signs, which I have discussed with many ministers and pastors in recent years, I found it interesting that some of them suggested they could relate to the birth of the Antichrist. This was even before we knew about the AI revolution which was indeed being born at that very time.
My more immediate concern was, and still is, how can we care for each other as we come through what is likely to be a bit of a rough transition. If we are indeed currently seeing the arrival of that final great economic and military beast that Scripture describes, I'm of the opinion that we are about to see the last great military struggle that formally marks that transition. Call it WW3. The end times birth will be a difficult time, but Jesus told us not to fear the birth pains. God will help us. We will need to do everything possible with God's help to care for each other, and as many people as possible. It will be our greatest opportunity to show people the goodness and grace of God.
In relation to the ancient Israelite story, I think we are in the time just prior to the Babylonian conquest when the Israelites were at a spiritual low point. The prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Habakkuk and Zephaniah and others were warning the people about what was coming, and of the need for repentance. This is were I think we are at now as the buildup to WW3 continues, but most Christians today can't even be bothered to go to church. We badly need the great spiritual awakening that is promised, and on this point I am most optimistic. It is promised, and the biblical signs birth suggest it is very near.
The cosmic signs of birth described in Revelation 12 were observed in 2015 and 2017, and they have been confirmed by world events - right on time. The war began when Russia invaded Ukraine exactly 7 years and 7 weeks after the biblical blood moon tetrad and 2015 Eclipse Reversal. The timing was precise!
The star alignment known as the Revelation 12 sign of 2017 was also confirmed right on time seven years later in 2024 with Iran's dramatic attack on Israel. Again, the timing was precise, coming on the 1st of October 2024, in the 12 day period between the calendar anniversary and the celestial anniversary of the sign. Another important point is that this is the first time in human history that there has been a direct military conflict between Israel and Iran, and this the conflict that I have been expecting. It is right in line with the Daniel 11 prophecy which describes the end times war that brings the final kingdom to power, (Dan 11:36-45). The prophecy was given to Daniel by an angel who came to him after being delayed by 21 days due a battle with the Demon of Persia - as described in Daniel 10. The focus is on Iran.
It is my expectation that the Daniel 11 prophecy is about to be fulfilled, however I don't know what it's exact timing will be. The signs have been fulfilled very perfectly, with perfect timing, and Trump has returned to office, meeting one of my strongest convictions, so there is no doubt about what is coming.
It has been a long time since people stopped suggesting that it might just be a cyber war. Evidently the end times birth or apocalypse will involve a real global war. But as for when? The exact timing of the climax? Only God knows.
As for Trump, the powerful life changing vision (or 'personal awakening') that I had in 2015 came through the recognition of Trump as the character described in Daniel 11:36. This character is the parallel of Alexander the Great of Daniel 11:3, the man who "does according to his will", and who is destined to bring this end times war to fulfilment. In the last few months Trump has changed the name of his Department of Defense to the Department of War, and earlier this week standing side by side with Netanyahu he said he would again support Israel in a war with Iran to try to stop their nuclear program.
When the climax eventually comes as described in Daniel 11:44, I believe it will be a global nuclear war. But as for when, I really don't know. It might only be months away, but Trump is talking about a third term in office, so it could be a few more years away. Things are already taking a little longer than I first thought, so my expectations have had to change a bit, but I have never had reason to doubt what is coming. Now that the astonishingly perfect biblical signs have been confirmed right on time, and very perfectly, and very spectacularly, that goal has been reached. The prophecy is evidently coming true bit by bit. But still, only God knows the timing of the climax, the actual apocalypse.
If we keep watching Israel (for reasons I've written about previously) and stay alert to the Daniel 11 prophecy, watching for the sequence of events described in the last 10 verses of the chapter, we will know when it's time to move out of harms way. The climax of this war comes in verse 44.
As always, it's the cities that get targeted in times of war, so God has his people perform a re-enactment of the exodus. There will be a 'slaughter of the innocent' so to speak, and so God will have us do just as little Jesus did soon after he was born, 'Out of Egypt I called my Son.' The exodus is a kind of baptism (1 Cor 10:2), a symbolic act of repentance. It's a fascinating theme, and I've spent a lot of time studying and writing about regarding the end times birth. When the time comes it will happen for us, and it be a miracle of God. Many lives will be saved.
The end times birth will be God's miraculous display of spiritual new birth on the global level in which a real war will be symbolic for the spiritual war of repentance. As always, God does miracles for his people at biblical moments of birth, to help us through that time, and it will produce a real revival of faith. The church will be greatly awakened and energised, and as more people turn to God the door will be opened for the work of the gospel. People will understand that this world is going to pass away, so we need to live for the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore I have an optimistic view of the apocalypse. The purpose of prophecy is to reveal Jesus, and when Jesus is revealed people come to repentance. Souls are saved, and lives are transformed. People receive the Holy Spirit just as the prophet Joel says, "Afterwards I will pour out my spirit on all flesh..." The end times birth will be like Pentecost, the birth of the first generation of the church. This time the coming of God's Spirit will bring gifts, and a more powerful ministry to the final generation of believers who's job it will be to finish the work of the great commission before the time comes for Jesus to return.
